Pilatus PC-24

Mon Mar 20, 2017 3:17 pm

How is the Pilatus PC-24 doing? It seems like a nice little business jet, around the 10m mark.

They are said to have 80 orders and will take new orders in 2017 for delivery after 2019. Any more info about this?

They have 3 frames f'ting for tests now. Seems to be on schedule.

As far as I know you are correct regarding the order. They had to stop taking order as too much people seems to be interested in the aircraft: first delivery was said to be this year for the Swiss Federal Council.

I am pretty sure the ability to land on unpacked runways, or the large cargo door is something very appealing

No, but that was years ago. Nobody knows anymore updates?

Still a beauty, isn't it.

Third prototype first flight:

https://www.flyingmag.com/third-pilatus ... den-flight

Dated June 2016, Pilatus temporary closing order book:

https://www.rts.ch/info/economie/778157 ... pc-24.html

"First delivery in November 2017 to Planesense from the US, the Swiss Federal Concil should take delivery in summer of 2018".

June 2016 was for sure a few months ago, but not years. As far as I am concern, if there no news they won't make any. I am pretty confident they will maintenant schedule and deliver on time.

We hosted HB-VXB here in GRR for about a month. I had the opportunity to see it a couple times. Nice A/C !

Signature's TECHNICAir here in GRR is an authorized Pilatus service facility which may have something to do with why they chose GRR.

The project progresses nicely:

Interesting quote: “The data we have been able to collect so far show us that our Super Versatile Jet’s performance will be better than previously announced.”

Pilatus announces that they reached certification of their PC–24 by the EASA as well as the FAA. First acceptance is planned in December 2017, delivery January 2018.

Pilatus CEO Oskar Schwenk points out that performance is even better than announced.
So far 84 are ordered and 23 are planned to be delivered in 2018.

Sorry link in german. But: very nice 360 degree interactive cockpit view;)
