Costa Rica - London by 737

I was looking at flights from Costa Rica to London and this rather strange itinerary came up: all the way by 737 with stops in Toronto, Halifax and St Johns. It looked pretty interesting. The last flight across the atlantic is actually shorter than the flight from Costa Rica to Toronto, at just 5h13m. Who'd have thought you could go all the way from Central America to London in a 737? I wonder if this is a sign of things to come (with the increasing range of the 737 Max and A320 Neo).

A couple of years ago, someone figured out how to get from Auckland to London (I think it was) purely on LCC -- obviously it wasn't a single type all the way, but every flight was a narrowbody flight.
I think if you work it out carefully, you can actually fly around the world on narrowbodies.

You could connect from one of COPA's S. American desitnations for an even longer route.. and transfer to a norwegian flight out of LGW...
Argentina-Dubai on 737's?

An RTW on narrowbodies is also possible.

I have travelled Morocco-Istanbul-Dubai-Sri Lanka on Air Arabia and that was all A320s. It is also possible to fly Bangkok to Istanbul via Dubai on 737s with FlyDubai. It is making flying cheaper because the low cost airlines in different regions are expanding their territorry and eventually these will overlap more and more.
From the UK to Auckland I'd imagine you could fly Pegasus to Istanbul, then Fly Dubai to Dubai and on to Bangkok (or go via India which has many low cost airlines). Then you could fly Air Asia to Bali and then on some Australian low cost airline to Sydney and on to Auckland. It's definitely doable.

You'd just need to get to Manila - PR flies an A320/321 to Auckland via Cairns.

It is possible to go around the world entirely on 737s, I was bored one day and figured out a way to do it. I've tried to come up with a route for the A320 family, but I can't figure out how to cross the Pacific.

I remember Air Fiji flying from Fiji nonstop to Honolulu on a 737 - and even connected to Vancouver from there. Not sure they still do it this way since they got their A330.
Another LCC flying TATL from Prague to Dom. Rep. Is Travelservice from Czech Republic. They make one only on Acores and from there nonstop to Carribean. They often stretch their 737 until "last drop", as it seems!

You could even skip the YHZ stop and simply do SJO-YYZ-YYT-LGW.
You could also do HNL to LGW on a 737. HNL-YVR-YYZ-YYT-LGW

That was me! It was Auckland to Nice (Westbound) on A320s and then back to Auckland on 737s. The most difficult bits are going across the Atlantic (DUB to YYT on EuropeAirpost) and across the Pacific (HNL to NAN on Fiji Airways via Cassidy Island). I also tried to make sure each sector was with a different airline.
Outbound route:
AKL-CNS with Air New Zealand
CNS-DRW with JetStar Australia
DRW-DPS with Air Asia Indonesia
DPS-SIN with Silkair
SIN-CMB with SriLankan Airlines
CMB-SHJ with Air Arabia
DXB-OVB with S7
OVB-SVO with Aeroflot
SVO-HEL with Finnair
HEL-MUC with Lufthansa
MUC-LHR with British Airways
LTN-CDG with easyjet
CDG-NCE with Air France
Inbound route:
NCE-RIX with Air Baltic
RIX-GLA with Ryanair
GLA-YHZ with Europe Air Post (hard to find a 737 doing a transatlantic crossing )
YHZ-YYT with Canadian North
YYT-YYZ with Westjet
YYZ-ORD with United
ORD-LAX with American Airlines
LAX-SEA with Delta
SEA-HNL with Alaska Airlines
HNL-NAN with Fiji Aiways
NAN-BNE with Virgin Australia
BNE-SYD with Qantas
SYD-AKL with JetConnect
Flying in great circles is boring.

For transatlantic crossing you now got more options since Norwegian is also doing this. However I figure it'll be hard to find connecting 737s at the small airports they serve in the USA. I know at Stewart and Providence they're the only airlines flying 737s into there, only Bradley has other 737s (Southwest).

I don't think anyone crosses the Pacific with A320s, not even at that narrow bit. For the 737 I can think of three options: Fiji Airways, the United Micronesia island hopper, and Yakutia's ANC-PKC charters.

SAS flies CPH-BOS with 737, and should be good 737 options from Boston and onwards

That's a BBJ, don't know if that counts.

It is still a 737, and as a passenger there is no difference. The aircraft is in a 2-class configuration with 20C and 66Y, so it neither a all-biz aircraft

There's no scheduled russia service from OME on any type.

Southwest has more daily flights and has been at PVD longer than BDL. I find it hard to imagine no other airline but SW flys 737's into PVD?
Also, at BDL you have Delta, American, and United all flying 737's.

Suppose the WestJet 737-700s flying from Gatwick, Glasgow and Dublin to St. John's surely gives more opportunities for connections than the upcoming Norwegian flights to Providence and Stewart, right?

Is there any LCC flying between HNL and US mainland? There're already a few LCC starting/started service from western side to HNL but how about the eastern side?

Allegiant flies HNL-LAS I'm not such how much longer. I guess it depends on how long they keep their 757's around. Looking at August, I still see 2 X a week. Would their new A320's be able to operate it?
