Now to be honest it was not just the loo roll that was missing, as the captain said the outbound Gatwick to Bridgetown plane wasn't prepared satisfactorily.

Looks like the BA handling team dropped the ball on this one big time, guess recovering the costs won't be a problem as Alpha Flight would want to keep the contract. The crew went out of hours waiting for the plane to be re-stocked (does that seem strange?) A new crew build then added to the delay for the passengers.

Glad toilet paper is exempt from the MEL/MCL list, though drink napkins would be effective -ahem- in a pinch.

If they are talking about the plane not being stocked, it probably was more than toilet paper. The cleaners stock paper towels, toilet paper, soap, blankets, pillows, etc. they put everything on except the catering. If they didn't stock the plane, I assume it included more an just toilet paper.
