When a new route is started it usually gets plastered in local news. With not a lot of exposure outside of North America it can be pretty hard to attract tourists. Winnipeg is increasingly gaining credit as a more touristy place to visit with companies such as Vogue last year calling us a must visit. I'm not suggesting that YWG is going to be any where close to the top tourist spots in the country but if places like Detroit for example could support a Delta hub surely a place like Winnipeg would have no trouble supporting a few extra flightsnot a shot to anyone from Detroit I'm just saying that it doesn't really have a while lot of tourist stuff to do but when you equate the population you get O and D to support the hub that it has. Not to mention Manitoba as a whole has some pretty awesome spots around it not just in Winnipeg. In the North there's Churchill which is nicknamed the Polar bear capital of the world. And out west near Brandon there's oil. So pretty diverse
