The new configuration 32J/304Y (currently 46J/251Y) has 14 less J seats, make sense especially on the 'leisure routes' to Thailand, Cuba, Mexico etc where A350 is also used.

Some visions of future HEL: At the beginning of 2020 new check-in and arrivals halls will be completed in front of the current terminal. The wooden roof and the central square in front of the new terminal are meant to become landmarks of the airport. This is a part of the 100K m2 terminal extension, at the moment the non-Schengen terminal is being expanded, where the first part will be opened this summer.

Some points from the interview:
* WOW Air will start expanding into Asia in 2018, they have a shortlist of destinations under consideration
* Direct flying to Asia will induce a lot of tourism to Iceland from Asia just like direct flying to California increased tourism from there by "hundreds of percent".
* Expansion into Asia is WOW's response to increasing competition on the TATL market
* Increased point to point flying across the Atlantic by Norwegian and soon also by JetBlue puts great pressure on WOW's TATL hub model.
* Four A330 neo to be delivered next year.
* Icelandic authorities are lacking vision regarding building up KEF as an international hub, they focus to much on tourism to Iceland.
* It might be sensible to privatize KEF, at least partially to speed up its development.

Personally I think it's more interesting to look at the international passenger numbers and growth:

CPH: 2 436 712 (+1.8%)
ARN: 1 908 211 (+11.0%)
HEL: 1 409 838 (+13.3%)
OSL: 1 353 851 (+8.0%)

I've been following the little "battle" between OSL and HEL when it comes to international passengers after last year ended in almost equal numbers (difference of just 38 903 in favour of OSL). I'm expecting OSL to edge ahead with a slightly bigger margin than last year.

Jan-May International YTD:

HEL: 6 030 784 (+9.3 %)
OSL: 5 859 393 (+11.0%)

While looking for flights from Amsterdam to Stockholm I discovered that on July 6th 2017 the morning flight of Norwegian is operated by a Privilege Style Boeing 757. It seems Norwegian is using this aircraft for the entire month of July. Does anyone know of other routes, preferable with dates, the 757 will fly on?

No dates, but you are correct that the 757 will be leased for an entire month. It will be based in Stockholm (ARN) and used on the routes to Alicante, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Faro, Helsingfors, Kreta (Chania), Malaga, Nice, Olbia, Rhodos and Split.

The passport controll is being moved and E10 (and E12) is being rebuilt to non-schengen/Schengen flexigates. AFAIK at the same time some of the gates are also being adjusted to being to handle widebodies.

Hundreds of people are stranded worldwide after Norwegian crew shortage. It's mostly a lack of pilots. Norwegian has cancelled several flights because of this. Seemingly extremely poor planning. The same thing happened last June as well, when more than 30% of departures were cancelled.

Novair is also struggling. As they are waiting for their first A321neo, they have leased in A320 som Titan. One of them had a hard landing a fe wdays back, so several flight from OSL are either 15-24 hours delayed or cancelled

WOW Air had an ad in Icelandic newspapers today for the positions of 115 pilots and 70 captains. These numbers are actually a clear shot at Icelandair which had just announced that they were laying off 115 pilots and demoting 70 captains before the winter. This is actually not unusual for Icelandair which has a large seasonal fluctuation in their business so they have had this practice for years to hire a bunch of pilots in the spring and laying them off in the fall. It's an annoying practice for sure but it is also expected by anyone involved. WOW Air meanwhile say that they are growing so fast that all of these laid off pilots can apply with them. It's a good PR move at least.

"The SAS board authorized an RFP (request for proposal) last week. This means that both Airbus and Boeing will be asked for prices of up to 40 new aircraft which will replace the aging B737 fleet. The final decision is expected to take place at the end of the year."
