Didn't see it mentioned anywhere, but WN is supposedly to start (Saturday-only) BOS-MSY.

Did a dummy booking and sure enough they are running BOS-MSY on Saturdays during March. Looks like it ends in April, not sure when the start date is though.

Nope

I noticed WN operating the MAX a few weeks ago but had no idea they started operating them at BOS in October.

Looks like WN had a spare plane in MSY to send up to BOS and back based on schedule.

A poster in Central America Thread said AV may bring back the former TACA BOS-SAL route. My guess it would be complementary to BOS-BOG flying 3 weekly on the days the Colombia flight does not operate. AV's SAL mini-hub does offer 15 other points in Central/South America.

Maybe there is some truth behind GE wanting South American flights from BOS after all. From 0-3 in a year or so would be very interesting growth for that region from BOS.
I wonder would EZE be worth a look at for someone?

I am hoping now LA has announced GRU- BOS-GRU 4x service, could we see LP add LIM-BOS-LIM 3x making their service daily?

BOS-LIM I think geography is the killer here. Its about the same distance as BOS-ZRH (3700 mi) and you overfly (in a big way - 700 mi +) potential connecting points such as Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela. Greater Boston has far less Peruvians than Brazilian or Colombians which factors in but its really the first two geographical "issues".

Maybe by 2030 when A321LR's and a new Boeing MOM are all over the place someone bites.

It would make getting Macchu Picchu off one's bucket list a bit easier!
