N534LA (LATAM Cargo Colombia) was delivered on Nov 10th to @MEX after refurbishment @MIA. LN 846, 2001 build, last flown for Federal Express, originally delivered to LAN Chile Cargo.

C-FXCA (Air Canada) was flown to @QPG on Nov 13th for what i assume is the final 763ER retirement of Air Canada this year and further conversion to Air Canada Rouge to be delivered early next year. LN 302, 1990 build, originally delivered to Canadian Airlines.

I say "assume" because i find it odd that AC chose this frame for the final Rouge transfer when it has younger frames available (C-GLCA for example). So i could possibly be wrong in which case C-FXCA is simply going for a maintenance check at QPG (which would be a first as such given AC 763 maintenance usually occurs @SNN and @TLV).

According to planespotters.net CAM recently (7 Nov 2017) acquired an ex-Vision Airlines 762 LN 11,1982 build that is currently stored at ILN for the past 6 years .

The aircraft is missing an engine only from available photos so that makes me wonder will they use it as a donor frame or convert it into a freighter ?

N152FE (Federal Express) was delivered on 21-Nov to @MEM, factory fresh from @PAE. This the 9th newly built 763ER-F delivered to FEDEX this year. LN 1136.

Thomas Cook Airlines retired its final two 763s on 2-Nov. They are stored @MAN ahead of onwards sale (probably for cargo conversion). G-DAJC, LN 533, 1994-build, originally delivered to Airtours. G-TCCB, LN 657, 1997-build, originally delivered to Airtours. Sister airline, Condor continues to operated 763s.

N762CK (Kalitta Air) was delivered on 23-Nov to @OSC following cargo conversion @MEX. This is the first 763 Cargo for Kalitta and also the first 763 Cargo conversion for @MEX. It becomes the third place to covert 763s after @TLV and @QPG. @TPE will become #4 early in 2018. LN 436, 1992-build, originally delivered to Gulf Air, most recently flew for Transaero.

Kalitta have three 763's in service. Two owned by Kalitta (N760CK, N761CK) and one owned by DHL Express and Operated by Kalitta (N284DH).

Correct can confirm so far the only retirement is C-FCAB their oldest one. As for I’m sure it’s already been mentioned but 5 will remain active in AC’s fleet “well into the next decade”-Ben Simth. FXCA and FOCA are out for maintenance like FPCA was.

That's a little under 5 months for the conversion, which isn't bad given that this was the first one. I don't know how much heavy work it needed as part of the conversion, so I don't know if it's apples-to-oranges, but TLV has been taking about 6 months recently.

763CK is down there for conversion as well, since 10/20. This seems to validate the adequacy of IAI's conversion process at MEX in Kalitta's eyes, although I guess the first month or so of revenue service will be most telling as to how squawk-free it is. I assume that 764CK will follow.

As others have pointed out, IAI converted 760CK and 761CK last year at TLV; since I know you know that, I just read the comment as intending to say, the first one "this year", as you often do about other stuff.

There's an Atlas/Prime conversion going on right now at TPE, which is maybe what you meant (i.e. completed conversions).

This aircraft is available as a maintenance spare for ATI's Amazon flights, but it also is doing other work, in particular a good bit of military charter. It has rotated through RMS and CAI, then to the Azores and back to CONUS. Also has run back and forth to Guantanamo from NGU.

If that 767 could talk, the stories it could tell about the places it has been!

N284DH is in full DHL colours. It wears the DHL Air style livery with larger titles and thicker stripes as opposed to the DHL livery on ABX/Atlas 767s.

The second DL B763ER to be retired, N1501P, will be ferried from SEA>SBD for part-out and scrap tomorrow, Dec 1st. The first one retired was N173DN, which for some unknown reason was sent to the desert back in 2010, was repainted in the current livery in 2011, and remained in the desert! It never even flew after it was repainted! I've never read any explanation of what happened with this aircraft. Photo of it in 2016 below!

Looks like Shanghai's last 763ER was sent off for storage in the US this week (B-2566). I'll be surprised if these don't get rebuilt to become freighters - late build pax 767's seem to be very undesirable.

Both frames have been purchased by Boeing Capital for what its worth. Probably part of China Eastern's 789 deal.

B-2566, at 11 years old, probably has a too-high capital cost to be converted into a freighter just yet, but it's possible.

More likely, it will find an opportunity to continue to provide pax service somewhere.

The Pratt engines make it less-desirable as a freighter, but certainly don't exclude it.

G-OBYE (TUI Airways) was retired on 22-Nov and stored @DGX prior to onwards sale. Rumours are it will be converted to cargo for SF Airlines (China). LN 691, 1998-build, originally delivered to Britannia.

N372AA (Air Transport International) was delivered on 4-Dec to @CVG following cargo conversion @TLV. Will become N379CX once painted and put into service. 767 Cargo conversion #23 for 2017. LN 433, 1992-build, originally delivered to American Airlines.

N1409A (Amazon Prime Air, operated by Atlas Air) was delivered on 12-Dec to @MIA following cargo conversion @QPG. 767 Cargo conversion #24 for 2017. LN 625, 1996-build, originally delivered to KLM, most recently flew for Mega Maldives.

N153FE (Federal Express) was delivered factory new from @PAE to @MEM on 19-Dec. This is the 10th 763ER-F delivered to FEDEX this year. LN 1138.

My namesake aircraft has been parted out at MZJ as evidenced by a Flickr album I saw a couple of weeks ago - updated from "stored" at MZJ. Sad times.

Sad times indeed. I flew on N126DL and her sisters many times in the early to late 90's, mostly between DFW and ATL. but also to FFL and other destinations.

Are my numbers correct in stating that 35 767-300Fs new and converted entered the cargo fleet this year? That's at least another 20 years of service the 767. Just amazing to think how the 767 may out live the commercial versions of the A300, A310, A330-200/300, A340 and 757!!! Heck, it may be going after the A380 has met the boneyard.

The FX 767Fs will absolutely outlive the 757s. There are already preliminary internal talks about the 757 replacement.

Delta purchased the final 757s made from Shanghai Airlines a few years ago. A wild card could be LATAM, which has 767s even newer and this isn't particularly old. It wouldn't go to the Chile operations, but 767s still fly elsewhere in the network.

Both were purchased by Boeing Capital as part of China Eastern's deal to buy 787s. They should have a life beyond but unlikely to be with DL or UA. DL is going the 339 route and UA is buying HA's younger 767s. Rumours are they are going back to China with Okay Airlines as a stop gap before they get their own 787s.
