The Delta link above states:
==============
defer 10 of the airline’s 25 A350-900 aircraft deliveries set for 2019-2020 by two to three years with additional delivery flexibility.
===============

'additional delivery flexibilty' sounds like it could be more than a 2-3 years deferral

BOC aviation has agreed with Airbus to buy two A320neo, two A321neo and two A330-900.

From Reuters:

"HONG KONG, May 26 (Reuters) - BOC Aviation Ltd 2588.HK on Friday said it would buy six new aircraft from Airbus AIR.PA for an aggregate list price of $1.05 billion as the aircraft lessor builds its balance sheet by investing in modern, efficient and in-demand aircraft.

The Hong Kong-listed firm said it would buy two A320NEO aircraft, two A321NEO aircraft and two A330-900 aircraft from Airbus for delivery from 2018 to 2020.

BOC Aviation, which operates a fleet of 494 aircraft, said the actual purchase price was lower than the list price, and the deal would be funded through cash on hand, loans and borrowings."

According to Reuters, Cebu Air orders 7 additional A321ceo.
This is on top of their existing A321neo order, so looks like Cebu Air is in urgent need of capacity and can't wait for the delayed neos.

From Reuters:
"MANILA, June 7 (Reuters) - Philippine carrier Cebu Air Inc CEB.PS said on Wednesday it has placed an order with Airbus for an additional seven A321CEO planes, for delivery from March 2018, to meet increased capacity requirements.

The seven aircraft have a total value of $812 million, based on current list prices and will be on top of Cebu Air's existing order of 32 Airbus A321NEO planes, it said in a statement.

Cebu Air, also known as Cebu Pacific, said the delivery schedule of the A321NEO aircraft has been pushed back to the fourth quarter of 2018 until 2022, from the original schedule beginning September 2017 until 2021."

Airbus order book update:

China Southern Airlines ordered 20 A350 XWBs in the A350-900 version, becoming the 45th customer for this widebody jetliner – which brings unrivalled levels of operational efficiency and significantly lower maintenance costs for operators, along with superior levels of comfort and well-being for passengers.

The best-selling A320 Family increased its order volume in May with 30 A321ceo (Current Engine Option) aircraft ordered by U.S.-based Delta Air Lines. Completing the month’s transactions were five A320ceo and four A320neo (New Engine Option) jetliners acquired by an undisclosed customer.

Hardly a "big"order though and might be better having this out before the airshow, as it also mentions the delay in their 321neo deliveries. Still an order is an order and always good for the balance sheet.

The irony of all this is if Airbus weren't having issues with bringing the A320 NEO series of aircraft into service, they wouldn't be capturing many of the orders they are booking.

Very true. But, unless Airbus increases production rates, they are just taking space that later orders would be. I bet these orders are deals, too - not good for Airbus' bottom line.

The annual air shows are when the world's non-aviation media pays attention to aviation so it is understandable why many customers prefer to announce then, but Airbus and Boeing only announce at an Air Show what the customers want to announce at an Air Show. Not like they can force them to wait (nor why would they?).

Particularly if it would be followed later on by the same number of frames reduction from their A321neo order. :expressionless:

Airbus is actually increasing A320 family production rates. They are now somewhere around 46 frames a month and will reach 48 end of the year. An additional line in XFW and some other adjustments should bring them to 60 frames a month in 2019.

I didn't think Airbus made a final decision on 60 frames. Either way - the current production increases were known by Airbus sales for quite some time, it isn't like some new delivery positions just magically appeared.

Looks like a new order since CALC informed the Hong Kong stock exchange of the purchase and Boeing does not have any 50 frame UFO orders for the MAX. We'll know for sure once Boeing puts out their PR.

The info I have suggests this is a new order. Unless, of course, previous orders have been attributed incorrectly, which is always possible. But I don't think so.

This order is reported as being in addition to an 80 frame order set up for Iran Air. Looks like 110 jets on the table for Boeing at this point. Aseman stated that as soon as all 30 were delivered, an additional 30 737s would be ordered. That is a possible total of 140 new airframes for carriers within Iran at this point manufactured by Boeing.

I posted on the other thread, but why would Singapore have announced the order but done a UFO on the firm order? Also, could the 15 737s be for SilkAir?

My guess is that they want to announce it publicly at the Singapore Air Show in February.

I would suspect a top up from a current 77W operator. Probably to big of an order to be from any of the N/S American carriers. Maybe BA to accelerate 744 retirement? KL for the same purpose as BA? Could also be Chinese, they order unidentified. Whoever it is got them for a bargain price.

Boeing Weekly Update (first since PAS)

http://www.boeing.com/commercial/#/orders-deliveries

Let us now see 242 net orders for 737 during 2017, including 10 P8. 283 gross orders for 2017. That matches well with 331 737-10 orders on the Paris Air Show, orders being orders.

75 787 net orders and 33 net orders in 2017 up to now. That are nice numbers for those two.

Could it be part of the Iran Air order?

I have a feeling this is an order from a South East Asian carrier.

8 is a bit small to be ordered separately for China.

Might be Aeroflot - they wanted 14 more A350-900s and 6 more 777-300ER and their board just approved the A350-900 purchase so they might have also approved the 777-300ER purchases, as well, deciding to add two more.

Iberia/IAG has signed a deal for 20 A320neo aircraft.

Iberia’s Chairman and CEO, Luis Gallego, disclosed today that the Spanish airline has made a firm order to acquire 20 new Airbus A320neo aircraft to modernise its short- and medium-haul fleet. The aircraft will be delivered from the first half of 2018 through 2021.

I'm curious to see more details on this. In another thread it was said to simply be assigning 20 from an existing IAG order to IB.

I'm inclined to believe if is just an allocation of the previous order. Getting 20 Neos from 1st half of 2018 (less than a year away) seems awfully sudden for a new order.

Did IAG have options?

First there was this http://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/ ... a320-order

Then there was this http://atwonline.com/airframes/iag-a320 ... ced-iberia

To piggyback off of what Polot said, it'd be pretty hard to order 20 A320 NEO's for a Jan - June 2018 delivery.

Could it be Qatar's production spots on the line?
