Hello everybody
I just bought a huge travel agency model of an L1011 in 1/36 scale and wanted to repaint it, as the colours on it are quite damaged.
As my dad had his first wide body flight on an L1011 i wanted to make this model.
He was flying on sept 10th 1975 from Nassau to Miami. I can't read the old ticket anymore so i have no flight number. I can see still the time for the flight which is 0920AM.
Is anybody here able to check in old records to find out which airframe this was?

I've wanted to find this same type of information myself, but have been unsuccessful to pinpoint anything prior to 1995.

Sorry to make you both do legwork but several years ago I inquired about Eastern Air Lines flights out of what was then Friendship International Airport now BWI. And this was for the late 50's. And the information was detailed. I was asking about flights from Baltimore to Miami. And I learned the flights either originated out of Boston or Idelwild or LGA. So, if I can learn all that you should be able to get your disco era information regarding that Eastern L1011 flight. Best of luck. You may want to search the forums going back at least three to six years. I believed my forum thread was titled something like Eastern Airlines flights from Baltimore to Miami circa...

For what it's worth-- only one L10 into Nassau in the 9/75 OAG, EA 851 from MIA that arrived 1430.It left as EA 26 to MIA-JFK at 1520. EA 14 was a 727 that left NAS at 0930 to MIA-JFK.

Does the ticket say EA 014 leaving NAS at 9:20 AM, then he changes planes at Miami to go to Orlando?

Thanks for the blast from the past, haven't seen those paper tickets for a long time. You need to find a OAG FOR SEP 1975. To find your answer.
or a eastern airlines timetable. yes they used to print them out and hand them out to customers might be able to find one on eBay.

was he going to Disneyworld ? Eastern Airlines was the official airlines of Disney world at that time. They lost that title in 1989, But
employee's like me still claimed EA was still a Mickey Mouse airline.
anyway, the paper ticket says fare basis, Y (COACH) carrier (EA) fight 615/418 875/221. class LEFT BLANK date time ( SEPT 10 RETURN SEPT 12 954 am 1:14pm 231 pm 7:15 pm) status (OK) allow ( i can't read look like LL)

EA 958 was a TriStar that left MIA at 1150 to MCO-- looks like that's what he was on.

Yes he went to disneyworld at that time... flew from lux to nassau with international air bahama always.
So EA 014 it is. How can i find out which airframe flew this leg on sept 10th 1975

Actually not 014... but EA 958 from Mia to Mco thats the airframe i need looks like my dad mixed up the planes...he was sure to have flown from nas to mia on an L1011

Soooo....we found back an old Super 8 movie ...and there one can see an L1011 wing and engine while departing MIA to MCO ... thanks for your hints guys....now just trying to find the reg of this tristar...
