I believe the 90 figure was refferring to the number of imports, not the number of Heart livery a/c.

Speaking of “imports” the number of 700 series a/c not yet in service has dwindled at PAE to 5. They are 7867, 7868, 7869, 7888 and 7889. When these are completed the WN 700 fleet will be 513. Does anyone know if further acquisitions of 700’s is planned?

Southwest has also announced that Warrior One, the airline’s first 737-800, will retain the classic Spirit livery as a retrojet.

They also said the -300s would be around till 2020 a few years ago too.. To echo the above statement, things change. Eventually the ONLY retrojet will be N711HK.

SXDFC, Thanks for your list and 19 additions.

I can also add to your list from photographs:
N410WN
N708SW
N709SW
N787SA
N788SA
N7729A

plus N714CB painted in Desert Gold for Colleen Barrett [I believe still in that livery].

Happy for any corrections thanks.

Totals on google sheets lists will be updated in the next 12 plus hours.

Some likely corrections/additions:

N224WN was at VCV from 2/7 to 2/17, likely for repaint.

N464WN was photographed 1/4 still in Canyon Blue, and tracking flight activity of said aircraft does not show a gap of typical length for repaint since.
However, N467WN is currently at VCV since 2/17; perhaps this was a typo on the list?

N717SA was photographed 12/9 still in Canyon Blue, and tracking flight activity of said aircraft does not show a gap of typical length for repaint since.

N738CB was photographed 1/14 still in Canyon Blue, and tracking flight activity of said aircraft does not show a gap of typical length for repaint since.

N945WN was photographed 1/4 still with old tail paint, and tracking flight activity of said aircraft does not show a gap of typical length for repaint since.

N7867A, N7868K, N7869A, N7888A, and N7889A are all still at PAE being prepped for service entry; likely some are now in Southwest colors.

717,464,738 are all still in the Old Colors. 945 (Florida One) should be getting paint before the summer.

Rules of thumb for paint.

Avg paint for regular livery is 8-9 days.

Avg paint for specialty livery is 12 days.

GEG and VCV are where WN paints their planes.

Re: WN livery repaints discussion thread

Mon Jul 02, 2018 2:30 am

Through photos I have confirmed the following aircraft have been repainted in the last few weeks:

N441WN
N447WN
N448WN
N452WN
N455WN
N458WN
N459WN
N464WN
N465WN
N466WN
N467WN
N475WN
N477WN
N481WN
N489WN
N553WN
N555LV
N556WN
N947WN
N956WN
N958WN

In addition, the following have been out of service at the repainting sites for the requisite time, but as of yet I have found no photos to confirm such:

N488WN at KVCV 5/11-5/20
N456WN at KVCV 5/28-6/8
N470WN at KVCV 5/30-6/9
N478WN at KVCV 6/9-6/17
N490WN at KVCV 6/16-6/25
N461WN at KVCV 6/17/-6/27
N705SW at KGEG 5/24-6/4
N961WN at KGEG 6/11-6/20
N954WN at KGEG 6/19-6/28

Also, along with N781WN mentioned above at KVCV, N474WN arrived at KGEG 6/28, and N8314L went to KVCV 6/27 (this would be the first of their 737-800 fleet to go for repaint).

N461WN at KVCV 6/17/-6/27
N705SW at KGEG 5/24-6/4
N961WN at KGEG 6/11-6/20
N954WN at KGEG 6/19-6/28

Also, along with N781WN mentioned above at KVCV, N474WN arrived at KGEG 6/28, and N8314L went to KVCV 6/27 (this would be the first of their 737-800 fleet to go for repaint).

Rumors have the ETOPS 737-800NG Getting the full Heart make over inside and out. Also they might possible add an additional Hawaiian flare to the paint job!

That would be superb. Our gallery configurations on all aircraft are not only poorly designed, non standard asked inflexible, they create huge inconsistencies accepted the fleet. On the -800 alone we have three different G2 setups depending if it's an -800/G7/MAX8. Compartments will be huge but then house a tiny piece of equipment and they can't hold anything else legally, or they'll be tiny and jammed full of supplies. On there -800NGs (without a forward G7) there's inadequate storage AND trash space, it's so pathetic. We talk about consistency but offer customers varying levels of service and experience based on cabin configuration and we fly only the 737. Good forbid we emulate what works with regard to cabin and galley design at other airlines.

I've heard at first they weren't going to redo the insides just outside paint. But they did internal studies on short flights old galley on the 800 vs new and saw complete service achievable with the new.
Because the 2nd FA didn't have to walk the length of the cabin and pass 2 other FA trying to get service out. Also the trash issue 3 xtra bins solved the problem on long haul flights.

First things first, would anyone like me to complete a new listing?

Secondly, are we sure about the early -800s getting retrofitted with the new galleys? I know they already have the new seats.. Would be interesting to see this “Hawaiian Flare.”

Looks like N8314L is out of VCV and back into the rotation. Any peeks at her yet?

New Mexico One with the updated tail in case anyone was wondering...

Image
http://twitter.com/JetTipNet/status/1017146007379947522

Only differences are the new font and the flap track fairings being grey instead of yellow. Probably not necessary to have them colored since the B733s are gone.

Ya I thought only during the D check they would replace the Galley? But how long would it take to replace it anyway is my question?
Seats take what 3 days ?
Makes sense to do the galleys because from what I've heard the shot hops 55 mins block is a struggle with the old set up!
If there doing Island hopping that's 45 mins of struggle if they keep with the traditional WN full service on every flight.

Someone said the Hawaii flare might be the marketing hibiscus flowers from the WN PR Hawaii announcement. If they do add it maybe on the tail? Or forward cabin doors?
Who good at photoshop?

All the 83xx tails will have new paint by the end of the year, I believe. Many are going to VCV for paint, and they don't do galleys there. So, since I doubt they plan to route many of them twice, I wouldn't hold your breath on new galleys across the ETOPS fleet by launch date.

Any "flare" would likely be a temp decal, since the MAX 8s will take over the routes as soon as they can. But, my pay grade doesn't allow me to know those things at this point. :)

No Hawaiian flare added to the new paint job.
As for the inside refresh I'm told each plane will rotate into IND between now December for a complete overhaul.
