I have noticed a couple of issues with airport codes lately when uploading. As much of a bunch of sticklers the screeners can be for info, I feel it should be corrected.
When uploading photos from MCAS Yuma/Yuma International - the ICAO identifier is KNYL. When I used autocomplete, it said no airport was found which I thought was very strange considering I already have photos in the DB from KNYL. A brief search showed me the ICAO identifier in the DB is "KYUM" which doesn't even exist anymore (and hasn't for a decade). When I uploaded my shots years ago, I am almost certain I used KNYL. I submitted a correction to the most recent photo in the DB stating this, and nothing has been done after several days so I wanted to see what it takes to fix this kind of problem.
Also, my local airport has undergone many name changes in recent years (stupid county politicians) and finally got a four-letter ICAO identifier (4A7 to KHMP). There are entries in the DB using KHMP, but autocomplete will not pull up those entries ("airport doesn't exist" or some-such). I have to manually go down the list and pull it up (which there are three identical entries for it, all together in the list).
Can this stuff be easily fixed or does this take large-scale site upgrades to fix?
