What if McDonnell Douglas Purchased Airbus?

A decade ago or so, “silly” threads like the aforementioned were plaguing the fourms. A decision was made to move these threads to a newly created “Polls and Preferances” fourm — and the most ridiculous postings resulted in a users’ account being suspended/terminated.

Today, such threads are the norm (see: ‘What would Pan Am’s Fleet Be Like,’ ‘Would Eastern Be Opering the 757 Still,’ ‘What Would AirTran Be Like If It Stayed Independent’ etc., all posted recently). Quite honestly, they’re distracting and tarish the quality of the fourm. Why can’t we go back to making sure they’re in the Polls & Pref fourm???

If you believe that a thread is in the incorrect forum, we recommend that you report the thread and include a suggestion for the proper forum placement. That's the quickest and easiest way for us to evaluate a thread to determine if it's in the right place, or if it should be moved.

We don't move threads to detract from the discussion or cause confusion — some threads can simply be a matter of interpretation, so moderators have to make a judgment call. Sometimes threads are worded in such a way that it's not entirely clear which forum it should belong. In any case, we have people upset with us regardless of what we do, so it is what it is.

I guess that's fair
