Potential Photo Search Result Tweaks?

Tue Feb 21, 2017 10:28 pm

Hi,

I was searching some photos, and to me it looks like a few pieces of information are missing (IMHO).

Can anybody say why A/C Line Number are neither displayed nor given as a sort option? Why isn't date added displayed? Why not sort by Photo ID#?

l/n is a current search function (advanced search), date added is not relevant enough imho and photo ID might be a search option in the future, but not for now.

EDIT: I just realized you might mean in the photo details? The thread title made me think of the above reply. Anyway, if you click a photo, you will see the above mentioned info.

Sorry for the confusion. I mean the Photos>Search Results page (https://www.airliners.net/search). I know that the L/N is on the individual photo's page (when applicable) and that it's searchable from the Advanced Search. I meant that I thought it would be useful to have it displayed in the search results.

As an example...
https://www.airliners.net/search?aircraftBasicType=2417&sortBy=dateAccepted&sortOrder=desc&perPage=36&display=detail

This links to a search for all 747-300's. All Boeing A/C (well, 707 to 787) have both an MSN (which is displayed) and a L/N (which is displayed on the individual photo pages, but not on these search results). This is what I mean about including the L/N
