Flight logging function

Fri Feb 10, 2017 11:24 pm

Around 6 years ago I first came up with an idea that airliners would add a flight log function, linked to the photo database, that users could use and perhaps link their profile too. Back then I got two answers for why it couldn't happen. a) there were already websites filling the function and b) the site didn't support it.

Now, 6 years later, most of those sites are either outdated (flightmemory) or no longer updated so missing new aircraft, airlines and airports (flightdiary). Airliners also has a great outreach in the aviation community, probably much larger than these sites, and many members that don't necessarily use a flight log currently could be rnticed by the idea if given a platform. As the new look seems to be up and running with full function now, I was wondering if the idea could be revisited? I would be glad to offer any help I could, but am not particularly tech savvy so don't know how much help there would be in me.

Please let me know if it's an viable idea. :)

Best regards,
Nothing compares to taking off in an empty 757 with full thrust!
