There has been such a gigantic quantity of political threads in the Non-Av forum since the current administration was sworn in that the quality of that forum has, in my opinion, gone way down. You used to be able to click on it and choose from discussions on travel, architecture, music, fashion, movies, monorails, horseback riding swimming fishing boating canoeing...
Now it's nearly impossible to find threads like that because 90% of the threads are Trump-did-this or Pence-said-that.
What about creating a dedicated sub-forum for political discussions so people can once again enjoy Non-Av as a place to relax and enjoy any of a number of non-polemical chats?

The mods briefly discussed this just before Christmas though we will need to have to revisit it again. One thing we may look at doing is having a Trump thread and merge all the other related threads in the non-aviation into that forum. I will email the other mods and hopefully we can get this addressed soon so the non-aviation forum doesn't look like the Trump forum or something like that

Thanks for the reply, qf789. Is there a place we can turn to for updates on this? If anything the Non-Av forum has gotten even worse in this regard in the past week or so.
