The colors are really too bright. The light on dark theme was easier to read as well as determine how things were grouped and organized. The giant photos at the top of the home page are a bit annoying, especially with them auto-playing. The search for photos being buried. Not a fan.
P.S. I'm a User Experience Designer.

...which is a useless feature. Your comment says it was posted today at 21:48. It's currently 19:34, so unless you somehow posted your comment two hours in the future it's of no use whatsoever.

Photo has to be:
Minimum 100 x 100px.
Maximum 500 x 500px and 1M file size.
JPEG only.
Then go right down & click "save"

Thanks, but I tried that and I couldn't work how to change that awful skull - and I couldn't figure out a way to upload photo in place of the skull.

This forum is good for news, but in general it's a bit of an industry joke. Very few experts, weird fanboy culture, and lots of silly PC nonsense...that kind of thing. This new re-design takes the only thing this forum had going for it, simple, easily-readable elegance, and trashes it in favor of a generic, advertisement-strewn wasteland. One that is very hard to read.
It's been real.

I truly do not care for the new setup. I truly do miss the old layout.

Click on the three horizontal bars at the top right hand corner of the page. A menu will appear on the left hand side of the screen. Click Account and Settings. Only thing is the photo sizes are limited.

a320fan wrote:Lots of issues with this 'improvement'. My main ones being it is now a lot slower to read and post, So much empty space and so many pages to see the topics I could have seen at a glance. I don't have time to go pursuing through multiple pages to find a few interesting topics. This will undoubtedly lead to topics dying out a lot faster as most people wont bother loading a whole new page just to see a handful of more topics which is a disastrous outcome.
My other main issue is this is barely readable. The font is so small, and the colour choice was obviously made by someone who hates eyes. There is barely any contrast. I am young with good eyes, yet It still hurts to read.
The site now has 0 personality, and that's sad.
Additionally, my laptop is cheap and quite low powered, the changes have made this site incredibly laggy on it.

The fact that I can now view users' real names without their consent is an extremely serious issue and a serious breach of trust of people who used to post sensitive information from inside airlines (FYI, I'm not one of them, but I now know the real names of several). Frankly, that's just awful and gives the whole project an F.
