2 Simple Suggestions

Sat May 18, 2002 7:58 am

I have two suggestions that would be relatively easy to implement.

1. Make the default view on messages to show all the responses. (So you don't have to click on "Show All Replies". I don't think anyone reads messages one at a time)

2. The menu on the forum pages that allows to jump from one message board to the other (like from non aviation to tech/ops) should also be implemented right on a message page. This way we don't need to go back to the forum page to switch forums.

Just ideas.

Thank you.

1. It is possible now also, to me browser always shows full replies. What browser aer you using? If you are using IE 4.0 or later or new Netscape, they should also do that. It is called "coockies". Maybe you set in settings "disable cockies"? Check that. If your browser is old, update it. There are lots of free browsers now.

Yeah! I loved it back when A.net was testing out the show all replies as a default. That was a great feature!

1. Doesn't matter to me... once you choose full it stays default until you reset your cookies.

2. I like this one a lot. Big thumbs up

Remark 1: Once I've chosen "Shows full replies" that becomes the default setting and stays like that on the next visit! (I'm using IE 5.5).

remark 2: I fully agree!!

About #2 again... I just thought I would share what I do. If you are using MSIE create a folder in your favorites called "A.net Forums" or something like that. Then link to each forum (Civil, Non-av, Military, Hobby, etc.) in that folder. You can then access it from any website, not just a.net, or if you are reading a post in a different forum. Just thought I would share. Smile/happy/getting dizzy But making that drop down list in each thread would be even more convenient. Big thumbs up

Thank you for those suggestions KEWR, both have now been implemented. Let me know if it works as you intended.
