A really fascinating look into the chaos, comedy, and dark days of post Soviet aviation. Hard to believe it was only 20 some odd years ago the place looked like and functioned like some strange alternative universe. Worth a watch!!!

Yes I remember it... interesting little view into the Post-USSR newly Capitalist based airline system in Russia.

I've seen this. It's an awesome documentary. I found it especially interesting because outside of the former Soviet Union there is very little information out there about aviation in Russia and the former Soviet Union. It truly was a whole different world over there back then compared to the West.

Great video to watch. I flew Aeroflot around this time on the IL86 on International flights and it was a pleasant experience. Still very much a USSR feel to the product. The Domestic flights as shown in the video were a lot different from the International ones. Sad to see the general state of aviation at that time though. I remember whilst in transit in SVO you showed your boarding pass at a poor Mans cafe and they gave you a small carton of Orange juice, one piece of stale bread and a hard boiled egg!
