Secret tunnels in Mumbai

Was trying to get a co-worker to explain why she had failed yes FAILED to add "Coon Rapids, Minnesota" to her List of Architecturally Insignificant Post Offices Airstud Has Utilized ('cause I'd mailed my car payment from that one), and figured I should show her how a post office, once utilized by me, stays off of that infamous list. Obviously the most architecturally correct post office is the Mumbai GPO, and when I googled it I found this article:

Anyone know if there has been any progress in finding out how the tunnels were built & for what purpose? :scratchchin:

Weird story! My first thought is: Didn't anybody have a flashlight in their car that day? I'm not saying try to explore the whole tunnel in an afternoon, but at least have a good look around down there.
