Most Annoying Sound
May not be this one, but for me right this moment it's the jerk sitting in the cube behind me extending and retracting his reusable eraser. (like a ratcheting sound)

Samsung smartphone notification whistle for text messages. Put those darn things on silent. Everyone around you doesn't need to know you've gotten a text message every 3 seconds, why bother with notifications at all. Just stare at your phone screen.

Donald Trump's voice. Announcements on planes, trains, subway cars or platforms that there is a time eating delay ahead stopping or preventing your train from being there. Any of the Kardishians talking. Drunk persons in bars talking incoherently. In some bars, restaurants or indoor spaces, poor acoustics that give a din that makes it impossible to hear someone next to you talk. Persons on their phones talking loudly and frequently using profanity. Screeching noises from HVAC systems.

Gas powered leaf blowers. When the landscapers are here at my condo complex I want to go out there and smash those infernal things with a baseball bat!!!
All they do is blow grass clippings and dust from one place to another and spew noxious exhaust fumes into the air- have they never been introduced to the concept of a broom and dustpan/shovel. - OK, rant over.

Once had a captain on a united flight DEN-SEA that came over and said "Good afternoon, this is Captain James Kirk, we're about to boldly go where no man has gone before, er I mean push back from the gate..." (and continued on in similar fashion - it was clear he had rehearsed this before)
He used other famous Kirk quotes like "make it so" and when he signed off on our final approach he instructed everyone to live long and prosper.
This was of course to everyone's delight. As I was disembarking I checked his name plate. Sure as sh!t his name actually was James Kirk. (I asked him what his middle initial was and it was sadly not T of course)

The whine that a CRT TV makes when it's not drowned out by the sound of something on the TV. I can hear that sound all the way across a house. So aggravating. Fortunately, CRT is so rare now that I don't hear it much anymore.

Someone going "SHHHHHH" to try to quiet someone. Good lord that really grinds my gears, and I'm not entirely sure why, maybe it's because we have words. I remember vividly being at baggage claim at SFO like TWELVE YEARS AGO, and this baby was squalling, as they tend to do. The mother was going "shhhh" while bouncing the baby on her hip...so the shhh turned into a warble/vibrato. Oh my god I could have hurled my suitcase at her. The baby's crying wasn't a big deal...but this woman's attempts to "shhhhhh" the baby was sending my blood pressure through the roof.

I love my kids, but there are octaves my 3 year old daughter can hit when she screams or yells I never thought reachable. Someone I work nearby also has a white noise generator at her desk that drives me absolutely nuts.

Haha. I wonder what the guy in 10C thought as my wife tried to shush our (just under) 2 year old on our last flight.
