I do not understand what we are supposed to be upset about. JITB has a target audience. They know who their audience is. They make commercials for that audience. Just like Carl's Jr. and their big, sloppy, meaty burgers being shoved in the mouth of some buxom blonde woman. Marketing. They know what they are doing and how to do it. The only people who will be "triggered" and offended by this are people who want to be "triggered" and offended. The other 99.99999% of us? meh...

Agreed. It's sophomoric humor, but so what? People have forgotten what comedy is...it is humor at the expense of others.
The chronically offended will always find something to be offend by.
If you don't like the commercial, by all means, avoid eating at Jack in the Box.

I'm confused at what was "offensive" in this ad? I don't see anyone making fun of a race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation, so I'm very confused at what could possibly be offensive here.

That, and they've been offering these for well over a decade... the beef is on&off, but I remember getting the chicken bowls way back in the early '00s.
Though, got one circa 2013 where the chicken was undercooked: a little pustule of blood popped and stained the rice red.
No thanks, I'll stick with WaBa Grill whenever the urge for a teriyaki bowl hits, from here on out.
