I don't see any f*ing iPhone flying to the moon btw

I think you mean the Apollo command modules. At least that's the fact that used to go around (wasn't a factoid, its actually true). I suppose we could be approaching (or have passed) the point where we've surpassed Johnson space center mission control capability. (Speaking specifically of the mission control room)

To address the last part. iPhones don't have rockets or thrusters yet :P waiting for Android to release theirs first maybe? This EU fine on google may slow that down.

In 2016, a lightning strike killed 323 reindeer in Norway.

Not to be pedantic, but I was talking of Finland.
There's a whole Sweden inbetween!

In the novel 2001: A Space Odyssey, the ship Discovery traveled to Saturn's moon Iapetus/Japetus (in the movie, it traveled to Jupiter).

But in the sequel novel 2010: Odyssey Two, Arthur Clark decided to largely follow the movie version, and it is set around Jupiter.

2061: Odyssey Three and 3001: The Final Odyssey are not really direct sequels, as they follow some of the same characters, but some history/events have been changed.

Makes it all slightly confusing, but still great reading.

Also, "traveled" and "travelled" are both acceptable spellings of the past tense of "travel", and I can never decide which one I should use.

The verb stem is "travel;" not "travell," so that should make it easier.

"Kine" is a plural of "cow" and is the only plural-form noun in the English language that contains none I say NONE of the letters found in the singular form.

Your body can lose up to two cups of water an hour while flying.

If you jump in the air on a plane, physics are that you will actually momentarily increase the weight of the plane. So sit your ass down.

Clearly I laged behind in understanding this, as it has knoted up my brain for some time now. I guess my thinking will have to be transfered to your suggested line of thought.

There are more stars in the universe than Grains of Sand on All of the Earth's beaches.

There are more atoms in a grain of sand than stars in the universe.

A piece of paper large enough to contain all the zeroes in a googolplex couldn't be stuffed into the known universe.

Which is a moot point, because no one has had anywhere near enough time to write out a googolplex on a piece of paper, even if they started right at the Big Bang.

If you fold a piece of paper 103* times its thickness will be greater than the observable Universe.

(*It is unlikely you will be able to fold it 103 three times.... but the record book is looking for who can get to 14 folds!)

If you cut a piece of apple pie, and kept dividing it by 2 each time, it would take 90 successive cuts to get down to a single atom.

(But of course the knife wouldn't be sharp enough, the pie may be too crumbly and the atoms are too small to be seen in any case.)

Then you can sell the tiny pieces as atoms apple pie.

Completely pointless to non-musicians, but the Star Wars Cantina music tempo is 240 beats per minute, or 4 beats per second....
