Heya!
I really really don't want to start a discussion about the condemnation of homosexuals by the bible. Lots of LGBTQI people out there, like myself, are also christian (and indeed are of many different faiths).
I also love hearing stories about how the church embraces LGBTQI people, in the spirit of Jesus. My local church had the rainbow flag flying out front during the horrific period last year when Australians were voting on marriage equality. You can't imagine the comfort it brought people, myself included.
I'm always on the lookout for great online resources, books, podcasts etc. I truly believe there's more of us and our allies out there than is immediately apparent!

The Metropolitan Toronto Community Church is very LGBTQ friendly. Their website may have some stuff you are interested in.
