With the potential new labor deal, UPS is considering adding Sunday delivery. This could potentially give Amazon an alternative to Amazon Logistics or the USPS for Sunday deliveries for packages that are heavy, high value, or those that can't effectively be routed through Amazon's linehaul network or through Amazon Air.

Someone has to do something before Amazon swallows the world. It think it is a good idea.

That was actually the USPS. Now in addition to delivering Saturday they are delivering Sunday for Amazon, as well as Priority Mail Express and even regular Priority Mail in some areas. Now UPS wants to follow suit; UPS recently started delivering Ground and 3 Day Select on Saturday in some cities.

This is hardly just for Amazon. It's about keeping up with eCommerce in general. UPS was lagging way behind in this department.
