A common grackle, thank you. I love its colours and it was by far the most interesting thing I saw while spotting at BWI. :duck:

I'm pretty pleased with my picture, but somewhat disappointed to discover it's "common". :wink2:

Albatross.

Not the prettiest up close, but majestic.

Also, birds are a**holes.

If I were an Airliners.net photo screener, I'd say "rejection for not being centered".

But anyway - a great shot!

O?

Don't you mean to be more specific?

I stopped buying those honey seed bells because they attracted nuthatches, which indeed are a**holes, but my black-capped chickadees most certainly are not.

Neither are ducks.

A blackbird. 'Tis the time of year they're giving concerts in the mornings and evenings, and what a throughly nice sound they make. To me, it's the sound of summer and I have a deep affection for them.

Or an owl. They're stupid, but cool.

Well it kind of fits in with all the other strange crap people are posting. Correct this, correct that. We've gone from political trash to gutter trash. Rant over.

It wouldn't sadden me in the least if they went extinct tomorrow. This from a bird watcher. Nasty, dirty damned things.

I am an Amateur bird watcher, but it drives me crazy, I see a different bird, I run for my bird book to identify, and none seem to fit what I saw. Very aggravating, different seasons, different colors, yet I still try. I have tried photography, not quick enough to get a good shot. I agree about Starlings, they can kill a fresh tablet of Suet in 2 hours.
