That floppy orange stuff in American burgers certainly isn't cheese.

No argument there. It's "American Cheese" which is a process cheese. I like it, but it's not a "real" cheese.ER757 wrote:Way back when the quarter pounder first was introduced there was a non-cheese version as well as the one with - they came in different colored boxes - white for the plain and yellowish for with cheese.
That lasted to at least 1993, which was when I last worked at a McD's. The boxes were long gone by then (except for the McDLT) but they did have two different paper wrappings. The register had to different buttons for them: "QP" and "QPC". The price difference was about 10 cents.DIRECTFLT wrote:Good. I hope their lawsuit teaches that big corporation something!!

It's funny you say that. Because in 2016, they were sue over cheese in mozzarella sticks

I seem to remember that was more of a cooking issue than a cheese issue. They had to alter the temp and time of cooking because the cheese was melting out of the sticks leaving them hollow.
This could have been a real terrible situation if that hero hadn't stepped forward. It only takes one man to change the world.

and the kitchen proved : no meat in the suspect dish

There's less handling because you don't need to add the two slices of cheese.

I’d argue there is an added cost because the employee has to break routine and change procedures. Further, the order taker has to take additional steps to get the correct order to the “kitchen”. A “no-cheese” order, in fact, any special order, incurs additional handling at just about every level of service.

The name is "Quarter Pounder with Cheese"... how does Quarter Pounder with Cheese not imply that cheese integral with it? It's the thing's name. It has cheese literally in the name.

I'd be surprised if AA even purchases cheese worth a billion in a year. Or it must be really, really good cheese....
Wasn't that one olives from the first class salad and it cost them a billion frequent fliers?
Best regards

My local Golden Chick let's me get the Combo special, and to substitute a side for the sugar drink. I was also given a 10% Senior Discount. They do have good sides !!

If you keep eating that shit you won't be using your senior discount for much longer.
