Buckingham has always been full of himself, he beat Stevie up twice more or less over the fact that he thought he was the star and she was hanging on to his bootstraps. Now there's a Utube video of Buckingham and Carrie Underwood singing Go Your Own Way, it is enough to make a person nauseous - Buckingham singing one of Stevie's songs with some new hot young pussy. How bleeping pathetic can an old man get!

Good riddance.

It'll be an interesting dynamic, for sure, in the next tour. Hopefully that means Christine will get a chance to sing some more of her "forgotten" songs. Same with Stevie.

Lindsey is good and talented but I always felt it was more or less the same set list since 1997, albeit a few surprises here and there, but just not enough.

This is the second time Buckingham has been dismissed from the Mac. And the second time he’s been replaced by two guitarists. Maybe he’ll be back again when the tour of Rumours in the Nursing Home Tour in 2030.

“Go Your Own Way” was written by Buckingham. It’s about Stevie Nicks, but it was not written by her. The only time I’m aware that Buckingham sang lead on one of Stevie Nicks’ songs was the song “Crystal,” which originally featured on their debut album Buckingham/Nicks and was re-recorded for the 1975 album “Fleetwood Mac.”

I thought it was cowritten, it is about their breakup. But I guess you're right, he gets credit at several lyrics sites.

Fleetwood Mac has often had a second guitar out in the wings, even with Lindsey. Lindsey is an awesome guitar player, no doubt about that but not irreplaceable.

Go Your Own way, was written and sung by Buckingham and it was about his breakup with Stevie, so how is it Stevie's song?

They also have extra percussionists, keyboards, and backing vocals (often Nicks’ vocalists), as would be required of a band consisting of only five people playing two dozen complex songs. So they wouldn’t necessarily have to name two people to replace one. But they did.

They played an entire tour in 1987-88 without him (replacing him with two guitarists). They fell apart not too long after that, though.

Two, actually.

Buckingham was gone for the Tango in the Night and the Behind the Mask Tours in the early 1990s. He returned for one show during Behind the Mask to join Stevie Nicks for "Landslide."

With the two guitarists they definitely dug back into some of the pre-"Rumors" lineup catalog of the 60s and 70s and tossed in Stevie's "Stand Back" into the setlist.

Go Your Own Way was written by Buckingham. They performed the song in 2007 at the Fashion Rocks Awards. Happy now??

this is the thing with older groups performing, they don't sound the same, they no longer have the vocals. i live in Vegas, where everyone comes to town to play. I stopped going to these concerts cause it's freaking depressing, I realized that it's a part of aging process, but getting older does not make you a better musician the only exception
is Elton John, he is still great, everybody else, not so much, Cyndi Lauper, Cher, Bon Jovi, were horrible. I wish i would of just listen to their album or maybe a tribute band.

speaking of Feetwood Mac go your own way, the cranberries, nailed that song. you all show give it a listen.

Oh I know. The 2003 version of Stand Back was one of the best live versions of that song.
I managed to make it in the audience for "The Dance," "Live in Boston," and Stevie's 2008 "Soundstage."
Look close and quick! But I'm there :)

He will still get royalties for the songs he wrote, I doubt not touring is going to cause too much financial hardship.

He became an alcoholic while he was with Fleetwood Mac. It's enough to make me think that Mick Fleetwood is a bad influence on people. He has a near perfect score.

Everything is in touring now. The formula is reversed. They used to tour to sell albums, now they release albums to stay relevant, sell iTunes, and continue touring. Look at ticket prices today. They’re insane for most shows, but people pay it.

Makes sense.

I can't fathom the concept of actually paying for music anymore; that's like paying for porn.
Usually just download whatever cut I want to hear from Youtube, and make my own mix.

Can't imagine that royalty on sales (or even use) is anything like it once was back in the day.

I just saw the Fleetwood Mac concert twice, Friday night in Sacramento and Sunday night in Oakland and they were awesome. Don't believe anyone telling you otherwise. Mike Campbell and Neil Flynn more than carried their weight. Flynn sang his "Don't Dream it's over" and Campbell sang the old (Peter Green) Fleetwood Mac song "Oh Well" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0ag8DkipmQ. They also had an extra keyboard player, an acoustic guitar player, a second drummer, bongo player and a couple of Stevie's girlfriends for chorus. The drummer and the keyboard player gave Virtuoso Performances. Stevie, Mick, Christine and John all gave even more than expected.

If you have a chance to see them, by all means do!

Uh .. not a very attractive bunch were they? They look like they smell bad.

You have to understand a couple of things:

1. Grooming products in general and men's grooming products in particular didn't really advance much from the 19th century until the mid-70s. If you didn't naturally look good, there wasn't much you could do to change your appearance without the result being obviously fake.

2. Men being attractive wasn't a serious consideration until relatively recently. For example, look at most of the leading men in films from before 1970 who were considered "handsome"… if they were working today, they'd have to be either super-talented or super lucky to get even a bit character part.

3. These photos were taken at a time when musicians were expected to be able to play music well and their looks were irrelevant, exactly the opposite of today when pretty boy singers are selected for their good looks, buffed and groomed to a fare thee well, and then auto-tuned into faux competency.

There comes a point where the face of a “band” has changed so much it’s time to retire. If someone dies, that’s one thing, but seriously? Pack it in.

Gosh, you're just overflowing with harsh judgementalism. What's your point?

Fleetwood Mac has had many "faces" even before the time of Peter Green, there was a time when even John McVeigh left the band. So the only consistent "face" has been Mick's. The fans are loving their current tour and Lindsey Buckingham at least is claiming that the bandmembers are making fourteen million apiece off the tour. Not too shabby eh?
