It's absolutely shocking how low this country has gone, and how low Trump supporters are willing to go, to justify Trumps existence as president. If you support this president, it absolutely is telling of your own personal moral compass. It's sickening. This is not the country I grew up in. He's an embarrassment to this nation.

I struggle daily to reconcile my disgust and hatred for Trump with my family members, whom I love dearly. Some of my relatives think he can do no wrong and turn a blind eye, while even his most egregious moments are met with complete acceptance. He’s turned my once moderate conservative family into ranting, paranoid, far-right conspiracy theorists.
I’ve read a few interesting studies conducted during and after the 2016 election, which found many families are being torn apart due to hyper partisan politics. Families with a wide range of diverse opinions seem to suffer the most and in the worst cases, they’re no longer in contact. Apparently, blood isn’t always thicker than water when it comes to politics.
This is our new reality and the longer Trump gets away with this, our new reality could easily become our permanent one. I just hope voter turnouts are stronger than ever before. If all democrats showed up, Republicans would have a much harder time winning elections. Are there good Republicans, sure, but they’re not getting any attention, it’s the bad ones who appeal to the masses. It’s a sorry state of affairs if I might add.
