Anybody else sick off the Samsung bird whistle ringtone played so loud?

Tue Feb 13, 2018 12:09 pm

So I understand why you´d buy a Samsung mobile product, as they are pretty good.
But why do SO MANY people use that "cute" bird whistle at FULL volume?
All loud ringtones are annoying, granted; but somehow I seem to hear this whistle a lot more than others.

I do see the point of a ringtone, but why would you need it when the darn machine is in your hand or right in front you at the table?
I travel a LOT and at numerous airports, hotels, restaurants and public transport in so many countries I hear it...a LOT.

When will it be considered rude to have your ringtone sound so loud that others sitting miles away get "the message" too?
More than once I have politely requested people in restaurants to tone it down....obviously with mixed results.

Thoughts?

I switched from public transport to a scooter due to the Samsung whistle.

That and the twitter noise on iPhone.

Yes, we know you are so connected and the socialite of the universe, but seriously put it on silent. Listening to it every 10 seconds for 45 minutes is annoying.

Always have my phone on vibrator only and no sound as I also find it annoying when it rings if there are other people nearby. Draws too much attention.

Fair enough.
I do wonder where the borderline between me "being tightly wound" and simply unsocial behaviour of loud phone users lies, though.

Absolutely.
Gone are the days in which you could proudly announce to the world that you own a cellphone.

Haha.
What about noise cancelling headphones?
