You gotta give the Chinese credit. They are really trying to make this concept work.

Normal taxi: $29 trip and very low risk of death.
Uber: $19 trip and very low risk of death.
This thing: $500 trip and huge chance of death.

I'll file this under the "never going to happen" category along with the Amazon drone delivery.

Who would ever think of traveling on this contraption.
It is so dangerous that we need someone walking ahead of it waving a red warning flag.

so much on "new transport is forever dangerous and anyway nobody needs it" :-)

I don't like helicopters much because of what happens when your engine quits, or even worse your rotor quits.

This thing won't even be able to autorotate. It flies too low to be able to use a parachute. I don't see a massive airbag under there.

Range is probably very short.

Credit to these people though, I don't think a western company could do better.

Now a lot of improvements ahead.

If we flashback to say 1910:

Automobile: $29 trip and very low risk of death.
Horse: $19 trip and very low risk of death.
This flying machine: $500 trip and huge chance of death.

I think we're (especially on this forum) happy the flying machine people pushed it through :)
