Don't think it was just misconduct - things had been building up since his moderating of a NBC Presidential Town Hall/forum on September 7 2016 during last year's election. Thinking NBC received lot of heat/pressure from the Clintons over Lauer's treatment of Hillary.

I don't really understand how Matt Lauer lasted twenty years at the Today show. I never consider him a serious journalist as compared to Bryant Gumbel who I considered did an outstanding job, and conducted some serious interviews.

Where is all this outrage over Trump? People in the public eye have been fired and or disciplined over sexual harassment and yet we have Trump who admitted it on tape and 11 (I think) women have come forward and accused him, but no one seems to be outraged and no one seems to be doing anything about it!

There has been an (unconfirmed) report that Matt Lauer's wife has left the house in the Hamptons. Possibly even going back to her native country, The Netherlands.

Matt had installed a mechanism that would automatically lock his door from his desk. That way nobody could walk in on him unexpectedly when he was sexually assaulting women it also served to trap them in his office. What a freak.
