Best Places to Live in Denver
I am relocating to DEN in a few weeks and joining a major airline. Will likely be in an apartment for the first year. Any ideas of nice complexes? I hear Stapleton, LoDo, Capitol Hill are good? Would be nice to be gay friendly as well. Thanks for any suggestions!

Those places are rather expensive FYI. What are you looking for in terms of activities, commute, ect?

If you want the total urban lifestyle, get an apartment near Union Station. You'll be able to ride the train to the airport for work (though it ain't cheap: $9/day). It's pricey real estate, though there's a lot of competition now. Stapleton is a less expensive, less high-risey alternative... it's won urban design awards over the years. You can take the train with a short walk, and the drive to DEN isn't bad from there. Both are gay-friendly... I have gay friends in both areas.

Cornerstone and Repeak are decent companies that have buildings all around town. When it comes to your concerns about neighborhoods that are homophobic, sorry, I'm not sure, but I think you would find something that works though, considering the amount of properties those two companies own.
Also, welcome to Colorado - in a few weeks, anyway. If you've never been to CO, it has a certain beauty that I hadn't seen until now, and I've lived/been to plenty of places in the US and around the world.
