I don't know if they qualify as podcasts, but I listen to a couple of NPR shows on my own time. Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me and Car Talk and Says You. They are broadcast but I am either not near a radio for the entire episode or don't have time when they are on. Do those count?

It's not aviation related but I would HIGHLY recommend Dan Carlins Hardcore History. It's a fantastically interesting podcast!

Right now I am listening to these on a regular basis:
Ear Hustle- If you only pick one of these, pick this one. It's a podcast about life in San Quentin prison, and it's utterly compelling.
The Bugle- Used to be co-hosted by John Oliver. Satire and absurdist humor.
BBC Inside Science- an excellent and wide-ranging science podcast.
The Curious Cases of Rutherford and Fry- sister show to the above- much less serious and a bit more lowbrow, but great fun.
Richard Herring's Leicester Square Podcast- mostly interviews of English comedians; only really good if you like English comedy.
Decode DC- Political podcast by an ex-lobbyist. Can be a bit partisan but everybody can learn something about our political system from this podcast.
Desert Island Discs- famous people choose 8 songs to take to an imaginary desert island. Has been running 75 years (on the radio), so there are thousands to choose from.

I have tried listening to a couple of these, after a few weeks I just stopped. Frankly, I feel that most of the available aviation podcasts are not that engaging than many other podcasts that cater to specific interests.
