I like "back ground" and unseen characters, myself.

Sara Bellum from PPG
BMO from Adventure Time
Gunther from Friends
There are two from Corner Gas but they never had names. The school boy who knocked out Karen and the fund raising lady.
Maris from Frasier
Stan from Will & Grace
Bubble from AbFab
Sheridan from Keeping Up Appearances

I like Teen Titans Go! and Amazing World Of Gumball, Spongebob, and Minions, too. So what? Maybe he can not talk about this with his peers, so he finds the anonymity of the internet the place to do it.

You don't know the first thing about him- you're just trying to bolster your own fragile ego by slagging off a total stranger. Most of us gave that up after high school.

Up, in most cases. Anyway, we've already had one. He's even on our $20 note. And I don't mean murderer in the war starting George Bush II, sense, I mean Andy Jackson literally dueled with and shot something like a dozen people while in office.

Anyway, Frank Underwood would certainly be an upgrade over the current offering. He's not a nice guy, but that's ok. The office title is Potus, not Mr Rogers Replacement. He just has to be good at the job.

The Riddler from Batman (the original series)
probably Cartman
Erik Estrada in CHips
Steve Buschemi lead role in Boardwalk Empire
the agent Ari in Entourage (really a Cartman pastiche, aka the devil)
Cliff Huxtable
Anything Phil Hartman did

Honorable mentions:
Entire cast of Married... with Children
Entire cast of Addams Family
Entire cast of cartoon Real Ghostbusters

Hey, don't laugh... it's my childhood :D

You know just as little about me as you do about him. I don't know him either. I do know that I'm not expected to entrust my kids to him or any other stranger on the internet, so it's largely irrelevant.

What is normal to one person is odd to another.

I don't know if I am the person you are referring to who is afraid of flying. I hate flying but I love hanging out at airports and watching all the flights come and go. Something about the noise and the tail colors and anticipation is a thrill for me. But being stuck in a metal tube at 500MPH at six miles above ground for hours on end I hate.

I hope you are not deleted and warned. You made a simple observation.

According to my imdb.com list I have watched or plan to watch more than 1000 TV series. Making a top ten list would be very difficult. I will just put my all time favorites, probably in part because I was watching this as a kid and teen, but I've watched everything again more recently and it was still great :

Mulder and Scully in The X Files

I think it is for another thread but what I think is happening is:

With more research being done on Aspergers, the more people are finding out they are on the spectrum or they have "symptoms" so they just go with it. I am probably somewhere on the Aspergers spectrum. What does that have to do with enjoying animation? I am right handed and could look at Dali paintings for hours. What does one have to do with the other?

Maybe there is a connection there, maybe there is not. My point is: there is no harm in watching cartoons and commenting online how much you like them.

I think all will agree.

Yeah, his Nucky Thompson was great - should have had that on my list.
Definitely should have listed Basil Fawlty as well - I have never laughed so hard in my life as when I was watching Fawlty Towers.

What, no love for Hacker? :)

In fact you made me think about the list I posted above, and I realized that though Sir Humphrey gets most of the acclaim, Paul Eddington's Hacker is actually my favorite character. When Sir Humphrey is spouting civil service gibberish, it's usually Hacker's reaction which really makes me laugh.

I think my favorite one just now (and only because it's so incredibly messed up) is the repulsive, petulant, vindictive little boy who's trapped in a 71 year old man's body and is somehow running the US into the ground via Twitter. It makes for compelling viewing!

Wow, bgm, why don't you call in to one of the Conservative Talk Shows, like Rush, Savage, or Hannity, and school them and their listeners how President Trump "is somehow running the US into the ground via Twitter."

The Stock Market is running record highs, and yet you, some self-proclaimed know-it-all, insist that America has been "run into the ground." You're part of the Problem, against Making America Great Again. So sad....

Politicians have very little to do with the stock market. It made most of its run during Obama's presidency and I don't give him any credit, either. Also, there's more to a country than the stock market. It's peoples morals, what other countries think of us, how we treat all of our own citizens, etc.

Americans gained jobs and lower health care costs and higher stock market numbers under Obama but, for eight years, all we heard was how the United States was run into the ground by Obama. Pot-->Kettle-->Black

OH YEAH SPOILERS

Keep in mind that I've watched way less TV than I want to (legit 20 shows on my watchlist) but my all-time favourite characters would be Lexie Grey and Christina Yang from Grey's Anatomy. They were just so perfectly written and their departures were amazing.

In no particular order:
-Francis Underwood: House of Cards (such cunning...)
-Patrick Murray: Looking (A non-stereotypical portrayal of challenges gay men face)
-Helga Pataki: Hey Arnold! (this character is way more complex than people think. A spinoff for for her family was planned but never greenlit)
-Sheldon Cooper: The Big Bang Theory (enough said...)
-Stephen Colbert: The Colbert Report (the persona, not the actual person)
-Princess Clara: Drawn Together (again...a stereotype of religious folk)
-Carl Winslow: Family Matters
-Sokka: Avatar: The Last Airbender (the series, not the movie)
-Raven Baxter: That's So Raven (yes...I was growing up last decade and liked the show)
-Squidward Tentacles: Spongebob Squarepants (I've noticed that I've become too much like him)

Larry Hagman...J.R. Ewing
Never a better bad guy.
Jack Lord...Hawaii Five-0
He made me afraid to go against the cops.
John Banner...Schultz, Hogans Heroes
No one better at being goofy
Danny DeVito...Taxi
Pure ass funny
Lynda Carter...Wonder Woman
Just on looks alone...Damn!
Tony Shalhoub...Monk
The quirkiest ever
Leonard Nimoy...Spok
One of the best roles ever; played by one of the best ever.
Angus T. Jones...Two and a Half Men
Imagine, a child surviving all those years with Charlie Sheen? And he was very good at the role.
Adam West...Batman
He's outlasted them all.
Captain Kangaroo
