I bought a PINK shirt (NOT IZOD)

Wed Apr 05, 2017 10:21 am

After all this talk about PINK I bought a pink dress shirt. It's from T. M. Lewin & Sons Limited from there flagship Jermyn Street store, it's a Non-Iron Light Pink Gingham Regular Fit Shirt, with double cuffs, I had to resist the urge to buy pink cufflinks, it looks really good with my charcoal and charcoal pin stripe suits and works well with jeans.

The one downside to this shirt and the other 3 I purchased at the same time is the collar bones are very narrow, the metal bones I use are too wide, I shall now have to purchase another set of narrower collar bones, this is all my own fault, I should have checked first. I will now have to make sure when I travel that I only take my T.M. Lewin & Sons Limited shirts or my ETON shirts with me or I will have to pack two sets of colar bones.

Much classier than a polo shirt. Well done, sir!

Note that not all my pink shirts are polo shirts or IZOD. I have a few pink IZOD button-down shirts, as well as a few polo shirts of other brands (particularly U.S. Polo Assn, Chaps, and Nautica). I buy mostly IZOD because I like their styles a lot, plus they provide a great balance between price and quality.

Why thank you, shirts are important and people should be informed when one purchase's a shirt, especially a pink one.

Chaps is Ralph Lauren's more moderately priced brand, sold in a similar price range to IZOD. I have bought a few Chaps shirts from Kohl's.

Chaps is a Ralph Lauren brand? I thought it was some cheap, pseudo-American Chinese brand!

Ooh, my bad! When Kiwirob said "chaps", I was thinking of these, only in pink:
