Does he permit people of color on his golf courses yet? Wasn´t that the only reason why so many Trumpistas hated him playing golf?

No. It's probably because he fancied himself as a man of the people but only played with other Congressmen and world leaders. Trump, on the other hand, is looking out for us, which is why to get access to play a round of golf or even have dinner at the same place you need to pay membership for his club. You know...pocket change for us middle class workers...whom Trump is looking out for.

The Trump Tower costs...If his family decide to stay there rather that Government supplied housing, He needs to cover the cost..just like US service members; or give him BAQ at the going rate for General Officers in NY.....as for his week end jaunts to Florida...Compared to Mar -a- Lago, the White House is a dump, unless you are into that French decadent style...

But I am AMAZED at the GOP on this issue...he is going to cost us hundreds of millions for this.

According to Judicial Watch the Obamas took 28 'personal' trips for a total of 217 days. This includes the 8 trips to Hawaii

Does that include the trips to NYC for "fundraising" or just to watch a show on Broadway, to hell with the hassle it cause anyone else? Because my office overlooks the Wall Street heliport, where Marine One and its escorts always land, and I lost count the number of times over the course of 5 years (only started there in the summer of 2011) where the whole of downtown got shut down just so Obama could come into town, but it was certainly close to 20. At some point I didn't even need to be looking, as the noise of the escort MV-22 Ospreys basically shook my entire office.

As for Melania, people need to get it into their thick skulls that the "job" of the First Lady is one and only one - to be married to the President. It is not to try to interfere with school lunches or whatever else pet cause they may have, so if they prefer to just be at home and take care of their kids, that is their right. To argue any differently is to say that women only find validation through their husbands and what they do.

Says who? And what is your right to determine what Melania Trump should or shouldn't do? The job of the First Lady can be whatever she wants it to be, so long as she isn't breaking any laws. I have very little interest in her, but this notion of yours is really out of place in todays world.

And as for travel costs, the President of the USA will always have higher travel costs, it is a risky job and he is just by nature of the position of the USA in the world more of a target that say the leader of some smaller country. So I wouldn't complain about that. It's the cost of security and having those two big 747s and numerous other support aircraft.

Many if not most recent Presidents have two personal 'residences' Reagan would visit his ranch, or Palm Springs; George HW Bush visited Texas and Maine; Clinton visited Arkansas and New York; George W Bush visited Texas and Maine; Obama visited Chicago and Hawaii - later substituting Martha's Vineyard for Chicago.

So Trump has a winter home in Florida and an official residence in NYC. Big deal. The Secret Service will have to provide protection at both for as long as Trump is Preaident. Even when no one in the family is living there.

Of course Trump's travel is going to cost more than Obama. Just inflation will guarantee that.

The only thing this topic shows is the hypocrisy of the radicalized Republican critics of Obama's travel.

But we already knew they were going to pretend a Republican cost the government nothing, while a Democrat cost a fortune.

Just another reason that anyone who supports the Republican Party agenda can never be a true conservative.

Judicial Watch which tracked Obama said the cost to the taxpayer totaled 97 million over 8 years. They will also track Trump, and I am convinced that this man and his family will cost us so much it will boggle our minds. To say it will exceed the rate of inflation will be an understatement. Of course that matters not to the dedicated Trumpets who as has been said above will excuse it because he is entitled, and that is certainly a problem they all have including him. Nobody is entitled.

Here is a fun fact: Public Broadcasting contributes to .0625% of the total budget. 6/100 of one per cent. ONE YEAR of security for all these trips and the permanent home for White House North covers that and more. But, let's get rid of PBS because it is a drain on the budget....

But the "French decadent style" is exactly what he fancies, looking at the absolute tasteless, fake Louis something style furnishing and decoration of his Trump Tower Apartment.

If the US taxpayers are OK with financing the Trump's a royal life style that includes the thirs and fourth degree Family members, be that so. A German chancellor would not last a week in Office if she or he would request re-imburseens for personal expenses. That goes for all European eads of state or government, except may be the French

Trump is on course to exceed Obama's travels costs for his entire 8 year tenure in just one year... That's some inflation!

He's also played golf 6 times already in just one month... Yes, we're talking about the man who regularly tweet-slammed Obama for his scarce golf trips. The man who ensured his adoring fans at his campaign rallies that he was going to work so hard, he wouldn't have time to play golf.

These are the days when one needs to be happy with the lesser evil. I'd much rather see Fillon win than Le Pen.
