What professional wrestlers should get a role in the new Trump Administration?

Thu Dec 08, 2016 12:02 am

So, Trump just named Linda McMahon, co-founder of the WWE, as the new head of the Small Business Administration. I personally have nothing against it (I think the application process to get any government-guaranteed loan should involve at the very least being able to survive a Punjabi Prison Match and repeated blows with a metal folding chair to the skull), but this does raise one interesting question: what professional wrestlers should have a role in this administration?

I personally think The Undertaker would make a great Press Secretary. Whenever a journalist would ask literally any question, he would just stare at them threateningly for a few seconds until the jornalista crapped their pants and left the room. This way all government communications with the general public could be done as God intended, 140 characters at a time and straight from the horse's mouth.

The Million Dollar Man seems like an obvious choice for Treasury Secretary, no further explanations needed.

Given his relationship with Peter Thiel, it would appear Hulk Hogan should have a role in this administration, but what? He is well known all over the world, and apparently great at establishing strong relationships (his friends even let him sleep with their wives), so perhaps Secretary of State? Maybe he could sweet-talk Theresa May into letting Trump finally build the wall he wants around his golf course in Florida.

I have read someone suggesting Sergeant Slaughter for Defense Secretary, but I personally don't think it would be a great idea - the military is a very hierarchical organization, and I don't think the Generals would take very kindly to having an enlisted person in charge.

Any other potential picks?

P.S. - by the way, this is not an actual dig on Linda McMahon, by all accounts she is a successful entrepreneur and business woman who was able to overcome adversity in her earlier life, as well as being a very charitable person. That doesn't mean we can't have some fun!

Damn near fell off my chair when I read the title. Thanks for a good laugh!

Since I haven't really watch Pro Wrasslin' since my misspent youth, I'll have to let others figure it out.

Although, with the way I think Trump's presidency will go, The Undertaker might be a good choice for any number of positions.

By the way, my brain meant Scotland, but my fingers typed Florida, for some reason...

You realize of course that Jessie Ventura was a previous Governor of Minnesooooota.
Then again they have a comedian for a senator when they went for a recount after Franken's campaign manager happen to find 600 absentee ballots in the trunk of his car.

While Vince has been the public face of the organization, much of what I've seen over the years says Linda is the real brains behind the growth of the organization/ sport? So she at least has some credibility in her background.

As for wrestlers - I'd like Hulk Hogan for head of DHS, and The Rock as Secretary of State.

Does anyone remember the wrestler Damien Sandow? He wrestled in the WWE from 2012-2015. His character was a condescending intellectual heel. He could run the education department.

Nigel Farage (He's not in the WWE but should be soon).. Manufactured buffoon (with a face that Jesus would kick in). He could be American Ambassador to the centre of the sun. His WWE name could be 'The BREXIT BARSTEWARD'. Hi Speciality would be to swan in to the ring, gurn like a leprechaun and convince his ring victim that their defeat was actually good for them.

Nah, Linda McMahon is a brilliant choice for SBA. Make fun of it all you want to for what it is because that's all you have. She found value in creating a whole new world of entertainment and is off to the races. She and her family took the business from a dinner table discussion and have made it a worldwide success. They navigated the climate, particularly the high-tax climate of Connecticut, where they still remain to this day and employ several hundred, are in a constant growth and hiring mode. Their employees are paid quite well. I remain steadfast this is one of his better cabinet picks, for sure. Give her a chance.

Outside of that if ANY of the female wrestlers showed up for *anything* in full uniform, people might give a damn about say ... the EPA. I'm sure they'd make a great "part 2" for the "Let's Move" program started under the soon to be former first lady.

Yeah Flair would have to be in there someplace, without a doubt. "Whether you like it or don't like it, it's the best thing going today - wooooo"

Undertaker should be Darth Vader in Rogue One. Got the right height & presence, could be really intimidating and scare the hell out of one and all, but I digress.
Yeah he could be kind of an enforcer for faux Emperor Drumpf, laying waste to all opposition and rebel scums.

There's got to be a place in there somewhere for Hulk Hogan . . .

And, tying into the Rock & Wraslin' connection from the 1980's...
I'll nominate Cyndi Lauper for Secretary of Education, because...

Low blow. You forfeit the match.

Edit: I just noticed the dates. Guess I'm guilty of a late hit :-)
