There is another ship that was just announced that has the seafront promenade. If you take the inside promenade found on RCL's ships and move it to both sides, voila. Not sure which one will be better, but I bet this will be the next 'it" design on future ships.

MSC Seaside and Sunshine look interesting. The promenade idea of bringing bars and dining outside has been done before, starting with Norwegian Breakaway (could be others that I'm not aware of).

A great idea I think..why go and sail in warm weather and be stuck inside to eat unless you want to go self-service at the buffet.

It kind of extends the outdoor promenade that the Norwegian Breakaway has and spreads it across most of the ship.

While I am happy to see a 4th ship in the line, oh dear, the Queen Elizabeth had a one night stand with the NCL Epic and this is the result, the Elizabeth and Victoria are two of the best looking of the Spirit class, this new ship, not so much.

I fully agree.
I also got that notification email from Cunard yesterday and joined a discussion on a major cruise board. Most criticize this new ship´s look, including me. Ok from the side (very much like QV/QE), the frontal view is ridiculously top heavy, almost caricaturistic.

My favourite name proposals in historical order:
Queen Anne (ruling Queen 300 years ago)
Queen Charlotte (wife of George III)
Queen Alexandra (wife of Edward VII)
Aquitania
Caronia

Not sure if I'm a big fan of the outdoor promenade. That runs the risk of lost business if it's extremely windy, rainy, or rough seas, all of which can happen at any time.
