A good occasion to eat chocolate, otherwise I don't participate. My mother spent 3 hours at Mass yesterday. Tomorrow I'll probably eat some Halal barbecue at a family reunion.

3+2* services in 5 days, I think that should cover my mass-going tendencies for a while

Thank goodness for someone deciding to make all of Easter (from Maundy Thursday to Easter Monday) a public holiday.

* Our local cathedral (Church of Denmark) hosts a number of Eastern Christianity congregations, so I observed an Armenian Orthodox Easter service yesterday afternoon, before going off to enjoy Easter lunch. It was of course completely incomprehensible, but it was quite interesting to observe. And then today, I took in a Easter Monday service conducted in Greenlandic Inuit at a local church. Again, completely incomprehensible language, although since they followed the standard Church of Denmark liturgy, I knew when to stand for the readings of the scripture, recite the Apostles' Creed & Lord's Prayer, etc.

BTY, I believe that it's Good Wednesday and Resurrection Saturday.

Rightly divide the word of God, vs. observing the Traditions of Men....

But whatever is comfortable for you... (Meaning anyone that holds blindly to the Good Friday/Easter Sunday days of observance.)

3 Days and 3 Nights from just before sunset on Wednesday to just before sunset on Saturday. (72 hours)

Happy Easter!

My grandmother's ham and candied yams were fantastic, as usual. Lick-the-plate good.

This year I can't joke about it being too early for the "real Easter". Greek Easter falls on the same date instead of a week or two later.

Hope you all had a good Easter. I got a thank-you note in the mail today and the pastor listed some stats: 5,772 weekend attendance, 338 first time guests, 77 salvations, 5 baptisms, and 324 volunteers. Impressive!
