Any Firefighters Here
I just became a full member of my local volunteer fire department recently and can now be fully trained as a firefighter. I have taken part in inhouse training for over a year now and had the oppotunity to take a co-op studies class and ride along with the Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency Service on engine number six over the last year. I went on almost 50 calls in the 180 hours I spent in the station. I got to see lots of exciting stuff and even got to put out a few fires myself. I also saw stuff I hope I never see again in my life. Maybe I'll be a career firefighter someday or choose the safer route and become a pilot. I was just wondering if there were any firefighters here or if anyone had any stories to tell to convince me not to become a firefighter.
