Aircraft identification at UTP

Hello everyone.

I was chilling on Pattaya beach today when a large military cargo airplane flew overhead on its way to UTP. It was either a C-5 or C-17. It certainly seemed to be an unusual sight, as most people stopped to look. According to Wikipedia, Thailand only operates the C-130. Any ideas what a C-5/C-17 might have been doing here?

Part of the Cobra Gold exercise, which is the largest military exercise in APAC. These C5/C17's are for supply etc. Wait until the ships come in and then Pattaya is a zoo. Good luck

Thanks man. That clears it up. I would have snapped a photo had I not been swimming. I was only there for two days and was out before the ships arrived.
