Tue May 15, 2018 3:08 pm

The Fokker 70 replacement has emerged from the paint shop prior to VIP config.

I must say that it looks quite nice to me. A worthy successor to the Fokker-100. :)

That design is quite poor. I prefer the PH-KBX design.

That is horrible. More orange or red white and blue would be better

Minus the titles and crest it doesn't really scream Netherlands at me. It looks more like a corporate jet for Puma or something like that. Maybe that was the point...

Interestingly the The Dutch have taken the cues from the Germans and left the EU flag off the aircraft.

Agreed! How does this, in any way, portray a national identity?

Seems the blue is a tad darker than the "cobalt blue" on the national flag? Nonetheless, the new livery is a vast improvement over the conceptual scheme below as presented before.....

Meh, needs more orange! But I'm glad it's a BBJ and not the Lineage, which still would have required a stopover on flights to the Antilles.

Hey guys,
That is a truly awful colourscheme....
Why do some governments choose awful colour schemes?
I hope that whatever the RAAF chooses for its VIP-configured A330 won't be as bad as this!

I much prefer the livery of the outgoing F70, with its orange and blue tail. That is stylish and distinctive.

This new livery on the 737 looks, well, OK to me, but except from the coat of arms and script, there's nothing to distinguish it as Dutch.

Like the current F70 PH-KBX, the plane will serve both the Royal Family and the Dutch government. I think that dropping the orange was a deliberate choice; the government probably wants to avoid this plane to be depicted by press and public as a 'toy for the Royal Family at tax payer's cost'. Still, this plane will regularly be flown by King Willem-Alexander, who has a 737 type rating.

At least no "whale"-waveline. But still too much grey for my taste.

A distinguished business like look.

 Good job by who ever designed / approved it.

More up to date than the F70 / original design.

And that's from someone who actually pays for it :wink2:
