Last outing of the Tornado

The RAF confirmed that their part in last night's bombings was conducted by the Tornado aircraft, using the StormShadow stand-off weapon.

The Tornado is due to stand down next year, so let's hope this is the last time they need to roar out of RAF Akrotiri. Anyway, a fairly basic BBC piece about the RAF contribution being surgical on a chemical weapons facility.

Perhaps the last time RAF Tornado's are used in anger. Germany and other countries continue to use the airframe for the foreseeable future.
