Thunderbird pilot killed

A Thunderbird pilot killed today during practice. Nickle on the grass. :worried:

That's awful and I am sorry to hear. He was #4. I have a great photo of him flying that I shot at Nellis last month. Anyone have the serial of his plane so I could please upload it?

Condolences to his family and the Thunderbirds family.

Blue Angels one of the first to offer condolences and share the report on Facebook. :(

All bets are off when you're up there executing and practicing that kind of precision, at the end of the day all pilots are family and share a common passion. These demo teams take the risks and rewards to a whole new level however.

"Our deepest sympathies go out to the entire Thunderbirds team, their families and their loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with them, and the Blue Angels stand ready to support in any way possible during this difficult time."
