Canada cancels order for 18 Boeing F/A 18 fighter jets

Read this today in an article in the International Business Times. They seem to be saying the cancellation is retalition for US government tariffs on Bombardier. Thoughts?

I think Boeing would have fully expected this. There is no surprise here. Canada does need to urgently replace the old CF-18. Personally, I think we should go for European products as we build our relationship with our partners across the pond.
