The Arizona Air National Guard has confirmed an F-16 based out of the 162nd Wing crashed in southeast Arizona. However, officials said they could not confirm the status of the pilot.

The F-16 belonged to the Iraqi Air Force. The pilot was an Iraqi student. The 162nd provides training for foreign pilots.

Iraq is so dependent on American contractors maintaining their gear that if Iraq turned on us, give them roughly half a year before every American piece of gear in Iraq's inventory is out of service.
