On google maps satellite view and on google earth it shows a USAF aircraft that looks like the C5 galaxy parked in a hangar near the western end of runway 13R/31L
Does anyone know what it's doing there? Is it always there for security and air defense? There's also another weird unmarked white jet nearby. Or maybe it's just part of a presidential visit.

C-17. Could be any number of reasons for its presence at JFK.

That's Hangar 19, the old Pan Am hangar. When POTUS visits, they park down that way, so the C-17 is probably dropping off/picking up stuff for a visit.
