Also, I'm not normally impressed by the looks of Airbus planes, and particularly the bland A320 family. But this is one good-looking aircraft.

Czech Republic ACJ319 Over Texas
A friend of mine in the US noticed this sharp-looking bird had stopped at PHL to refuel before departing towardTexas yesterday. I found it on the map, but the data is obviously wrong (she's a long way from CRK and SIN!).
Any idea what brought her so far from home?

Czech Air Force CEF537, PHL to Randolph Air Force Base, not Cebu Pacific (5J537).

Hard to know sometimes with some official/government flights. Not necessarily the reasons are publicly available/discussed information.

Czech air force is in the process of procuring a dozen of combat helicopters from Bell. Czech minister of defense met with US secretary of Defense last month, so I suspect this flight brought in some czech air force officials in connection with this matter, possibly some lower level management meeting and/or helicopter display.
