Thankfully. I think the Saudi's are running out of airfields to stick them all!

Just on a curious note, how many coalition aircraft were based in Saudi Arabia during Desert Shield/Storm?

It was in the hundreds, likely upwards of 600 or so. My comment was somewhat tongue in cheek; I am surprised they even need more fighter aircraft given the existing number they have on order as well as in service. The Saudi Air Force isn't self sustaining; it relies heavily on contractor support from multiple vendors for all operations from front line squadron support to its outsourced flight training services. I would also question the overall proficiency of their fighter aircrew.

What about manning all that hardware?

Per the Gulf War Air Survey, 3,800 US fixed and rotary wing aircraft were in the theater.
