I was checking out photos of Air Force 1 at Palm Beach International and a couple of questions came to mind:
1). When AF1 is parked at an "away" location do the pilots and other essential personnel stay on board the plane at all times, ie eat, sleep and shower on the plane? Or do they stay at the closet available hotel?
2). A new President has just come into office so is a new crew assigned to fly the President around or does the old crew just continue on until their tour is over?

We can all guess about how AF1 is guarded at various locations, and maybe our guesses can come pretty close to reality.
But if you want to have people in the know to answer your questions, forget it. Of course they tell you nothing.
In case my guesses should be of any value...
- A VC-25A crew consists of a lot more than just a few pilots.
- Their orders specify many duties in addition to flying and guarding the plane.
- They have enough redundancy to cater for appropriate rest periods and an ordinarily comfu life as fit for military staff of various ranks.
But if you want to have people in the know to answer your questions, forget it. Of course they tell you nothing.
